Our Approach

Why Beyond ESG makes the difference

Transparency

Investors should understand how a company is positioned in the areas of environment, social affairs and governance. Our Beyond ESG approach summarises this information clearly, makes strengths and weaknesses visible and makes it possible to better assess the impact of an investment.

Comparability

Because all issuers answer the same standardised set of questions, the results can be compared directly with one another – regardless of industry or company size. This means investment opportunities can be assessed not only by return but also by sustainability aspects.

Incentives to improve

The Beyond ESG report shows not only the current status but also concrete areas for action. Companies can take targeted measures to improve their ESG performance and document this progress transparently.

Responsible investing

Capital has an enormous steering effect. Through the Beyond ESG approach, money increasingly flows into companies and projects that have a positive impact on the environment, society and responsible corporate governance. In this way, investors can actively help to promote sustainable business models and create long-term value.

Introduction

A 360° approach to genuine sustainability

It is not about working through a rigid set of rules, but about a continuous process of adaptation and improvement. We use the Beyond ESG Framework that our independent partner canredo consulting developed with and for us – a 360° approach that goes beyond the usual criteria and puts the factors that really matter to investors and companies at the centre. Beyond ESG, in other words.

Pragmatic

A focus on the essential topics, without overloading companies.

Holistic

Environment, social affairs and governance are taken into account equally.

Logical

Scientifically grounded and transparently structured.

Actionable

Clear feedback and progress reports that enable real change.

EU Green Deal

Our guiding stars

So that our approach offers real guidance, we align our assessment and the recommended measures with clear goals. The decisive reference is the EU Green Deal – a climate-neutral Europe – and three guidelines that describe the path towards it.

Climate neutrality by 2050

No net greenhouse gas emissions – sustainability as a core goal.

Decoupling growth

Economic growth without increasing resource consumption – a circular economy.

Making it fair

No one left behind – a socially inclusive transition that brings people and regions along.

Taking responsibility

Taking responsibility applies to ourselves as well. That is why CONDA has set out to obtain B Corp certification – and thereby to continuously improve our impact and our actions. We believe that sustainable business practices must begin with ourselves before we demand them from others.

Process

From questionnaire to ESG report

So that investors can make an informed decision, companies must present their ESG performance clearly and transparently. That's why we rely on the standardised assessment process from our independent partner canredo consulting. This external process ensures that all issuers are evaluated according to the same criteria – from data collection through to publication.

1

Questionnaire

Issuers fill out a standardised ESG form tailored to the topics that matter most for startups and SMEs.

2

Evaluation

The answers are automatically evaluated using the standardised framework, summarised and presented in a clear, readable format.

3

Report creation

The result is a structured ESG report featuring a score, key facts, SDGs and recommended measures.

4

Publication

The full report is made available in the emission's document area, while the ESG key facts and scoring appear directly on the emission page.

5

Progress updates

Companies can update their information on a regular basis (e.g. annually), making progress visible over time.

Report Structure

A look inside the ESG report

The ESG report gives investors a clear and structured overview of a company's sustainability performance. It comprises five parts that complement each other:

1. Company overview

Qualitative analysis

A brief presentation of the company's purpose, products/services, key stakeholders and positive and negative sustainability impacts. This gives investors a comprehensible basis for their personal assessment.

2. Quantitative assessment

20 questions, 0–100 %

20 questions on environment, social affairs and governance, answered using a standardised points system (0–100 %). The result is summarised in an ESG score that creates comparability and documents progress over time.

3. Weighting

A balanced overall score

To ensure a balanced ESG assessment, the overall score is weighted: environment 40 %, social 30 %, governance 30 %. This accounts for the greater scope of environmental topics without neglecting social and governance aspects.

4. UN Sustainable Development Goals

SDGs

Each company selects the three SDGs to which it makes the greatest contribution and describes how this impact arises. This shows how business models relate to global sustainability goals.

5. Progress plan & conclusion

Measurable KPIs

Concrete measures and short-term goals (e.g. for the next 12 months) with measurable KPIs. This makes it transparent where companies are already well positioned and where they are aiming for improvements.

This clear structure helps investors to recognise a company's ESG strengths and development potential at a glance. At the same time, issuers receive a tool to further develop their sustainability strategy in a targeted way and to document progress transparently.

Methodology

Independent, neutral, transparent

The Beyond ESG approach on CONDA is based on the Beyond ESG Framework developed by our independent partner canredo consulting – an assessment procedure optimised specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises that captures environmental, social and governance aspects in a structured way and presents them in a clear report.

Origin of the data

  • The information comes directly from the issuers.

  • All data is collected via a standardised questionnaire.

  • Evaluation and scoring are carried out automatically.

  • CONDA does not influence the assessment but makes the report available to investors unchanged.

With this external, neutral analysis, we aim to create maximum transparency – for better investment decisions and a targeted flow of capital into sustainable business models.
